Leyshion Watkins
28/07/07
Leyshion Watkins was a terror,Played front row for Cwmtwch Hoofs,
Pulled a ear off Eiffion Davies,
Called the team a lot of poofs;
Put his teeth in Roger's shoulder -
You can see the scar today -
Broke the bones in Harry's fingers,
Then he grinned and said "Hooray!"
But we loved him, yes we loved him,
Yes we loved him like a son
'Cos when the game was over
He was such a lot of fun.
I remember when he mangled
Poor Islwyn Jones's nose,
Spread it right across his features
'Fore he worked upon his toes;
Jumping up and down upon them
Like a maniacal brute,
Sent him spinning in the river
With a well-directed boot.
But we loved him, yes we loved him,
Yes we loved him like a son
'Cos when the game was over
He was such a lot of fun.
I admit I have to chuckle
When I think of Selwyn's fate,
Because of some infringement
He had induced Leyshion's hate.
Leyshion took him by the collar,
Wrapped him twice around a post
Used his boots upon his features
Till the looked like Sunday's roast.
But we loved him, yes we loved him,
We loved him like a son
'Cos when the game was over
He was such a lot of fun.
How we pitied our opponents
Just before the game began,
Innocent of Leshion's methods
They stood chatting man to man;
What he'd done, you see, to Eiffion,
Roger, Selwyn and the rest
Was practice on his own team,
Warming up for playing them.
But we loved, how we loved him,
Yes we loved him like a son
'Cos when the game was over
He was such a lot of fun.
