I don't write poetry for publication, though one of my poems for children, "Winter" was included in a book called "Second Thoughts" published by Pont Books. My poems are written for fun and most are intended to make people smile or, better still, laugh; however, I do try my hand at expressing more serious thoughts in verse form if I feel that what I want to say is better said in poetry than in prose. I do not believe that poetry can say anything that cannot be said in prose but that in poetic form the substance of the thoughts may have a bigger impact and be more memorable.
I'm Putting it in for 'The Turner'.
